"From cradle to grave" - route semi-autobiographical nonprofit seriously ...

Data: April 2, 2007

sea.jpg The other night, after the inauguration of the fifth edition of the Master in fund raising, I tried to explain to the many speakers, because I feel so important to nonprofit organizations.

To explain, I tried to tell my life, but many think could be in the same situation. My story I wanted to call "Many do not realize how incredibly important to nonprofit organizations for the life of any Italian citizen." See if your life stories intersect with the nonprofit like mine and put them in blog comments. It will be nice to share?
Here's mine:

  • I was born in a non-profit private hospital (a nonprofit organization)
  • I was baptized in the church of Bussecchio (nonprofit organization)
  • I did primary school in a school free (nonprofit organization)
  • I spent part of my free time in the parish (nonprofit organization)
  • I did gymnastics in the afternoon ivy (nonprofit organization)
  • I went biking in Strong and Free (a non-profit cycling team)
  • My first job was to Confcommercio (nonprofit organization)
  • I then received a scholarship from the CEUR Foundation (nonprofit organization)
  • and I could attend an American university, New York University (nonprofit organization).
  • I met my wife during a party organized by a nonprofit organization
  • this organization was presented to me by a priest (or one person who works for a nonprofit organization)
  • I got married in church (nonprofit organization)
  • my savings are managed by an asset management company owned in part by a nonprofit organization,
  • my pension funds are managed by a private nonprofit mutual (nonprofit organization)
  • my children go to a kindergarten run by a nonprofit organization,
  • exercising and playing music at a nonprofit organization
  • gift of my savings to nonprofit organizations,
  • my pension will probably be paid by a nonprofit organization,
  • The Rest Home Zangheri Forlì, where my children could get when I am old (hopefully not!) should be subject misappropriations by some public body, still a nonprofit organization.

Finally, my grave will be in a cemetery maintained by a nonprofit organization.

Remember to do all this takes money, which is why we need the fund raising. It 'really true: "The fundraising is the servant of the nonprofit. (VM)

My life is begun in a strongly pushed profit world.
Already as a child, thinking about my bright future (in the nonprofit world), I imagine lying in a flowery meadow with Mr. Rockefeller as he spoke beautifully of our immense capital.

Then I met the fund raising for the nonprofit purposes `far and I had, by necessity, study, get in touch and finally to understand that world so` different.
    I feel changed.
My life is changed (I would say even with all the force with which he could do so).

Now my dream is to stop the deterioration in the world of culture in Italy.
My "profit world," however, is limited to the possibility to enjoy a beautiful Florentine accompanied by a full-bodied Brunello along with a sweet companion.
A beautiful dream and a good challenge together.
    What else ask of life?!

I know the world of nonprofit was young because my catechist was a lay missionary. Then at 14 I started with the Italian Red Cross and in 2000, while doing community service in a Youth Information Centre, I discovered that there was a beautiful thing ... the fund raising.
And then I started discovering a world that today makes me feel useful to society. A "ring" between saying and doing good.

My "world profit? On my refrigerator I attached a postcard taken many years ago in Bertinoro (FC) with a local said: "There are two pleasures in life: tvaia and lanzol (the cloth and the sheet)" and I do!

I must say that from a young age have always been addressed to profit, perhaps for the determination of my character, but growing things change and we become aware of their roots.
My father grows with the same passion as ever an association that has lasted 35 years.
And 'maybe' person most non-profit I've ever known and having his blood that could not resume his footsteps.
    It 's funny!

To even think about it, my life has always been a turn from a small profit even if I could see around the world with my private jet to manage large capital family.
First of all I was born into a family that has always operated as a cooperative, I was assisted by grandparents in a logic of mutual aid, I have studied in public and, finally graduated, I did not have felt right to go from working in a company profit as many of my classmates ... I also offer pro-bono as an administrator of my condo (we manage according to the logic of the bank of the time) ... for the future we will see!

Dear Valerio, thanks for wanting us to understand that the world of nonprofit is least needed (and I believe much more) than the profit but this can vuoler say that there will never be a solidarity that goes beyond this comparison? I will say that things do not only with great expectations (or, if you want, starting with questions that hopefully sensible) but I still can not understand if the non-profit, the profit will ever make us believe that it is possible a society in which selfishness will not prevail.
Although a little late, and certainly the case, being passed by here today, a sincere wish to hear the Passover.

    - My childhood and my adolescence I lived in a non-profit organization that allowed me to study, unfortunately away from my family;

    - At some point I decided to engage in a non-profit organization but has not been honest with me;

now I am working on another non-profit organization that has done and continues to do good but beyond my personal experiences, I continue to ask questions.

But the so-called third sector iin reality is the first sector, because of doing business (second sector) actually if you do not trust it is hard to do business. And before to Italy (first sector) must make Italians (third sector).
actually created the first families of the rest, the first born of solidarity, trust, friendship, because before this there 'nothing.
The third area is the first sector and second sector are two other ex-aequo ... and this' reasoning my dear Antignani! and thanks for the post!

Dear Valerio believe that it was not clearly understood but it is up to me. Anyway thanks again for your commitment and the ideas that continually gives us and taking us to see the many possibilities we have to do better what we do. Good luck and as always sincere greetings.
