Mine is the generation in their forties who more ... (45) or less (35), we rotate around a generation that today in Italy, it seems increasingly disinterested, out of politics, in some ways out of the office. Many of us have made money, or because they are good and competent, or because they are smart and have made some risky maneuver, either because they have received from parents and have them for the time being, preserved. Not that I know little of this generation is for sociologists (X, Y, Z, baby boomers ...), but I mind the faces of my classmates (dallae elementary to high school) Forli, of my former college friends, forty hours, most solidly started in a craft and a profession, some really very important positions in the small town where I live. A world of people who have a lot of energy (economic, human, professional ...) are often not well used.
I attended the now usual fundraiser for Help Centre for Life, that we "forty forlivesi" we do quite a few years, driven by the "Countess" Jade Brands Giannelli and "Ms" Angelica .. in Nicolucci. Just them a call, take a look "come to dinner, right?". It is not an invitation, it is an "order". And 80 people gather at 60 euros each, because they are estimated. The respect and trust is the foundation of fundraising, not the demand for money. And the respect and trust for almost 5000 euros a night in a fundraising (for cities such as Forlì is not bad!).
The forties ... what a waste all Italian. The best are dedicated to their family and their work with passion and seriousness. Most are fathers and mothers caring, and hardworking. But they are out of any commitment, nor political. Bill Clinton at 56 is retiring after eight years as president of the United States, Tony Blair even younger (she has a son born during his tenure as Prime Minister), but if Italy does not have at least 60 years ....
A population of forty to be exploited, whose skills, energy and economic resources, not to serve the city and country. Meanwhile, some photos of the festival, a celebration of ordinary people who never find themselves together, were it not for a beautiful and great cause. I have some ideas, Italy deserves it, I'll tell you.
