In 2007 I spoke of Camillians these missionaries and their vicissitudes in fundraising. Recently I wrote Father Luigi Galvani to ask some advice on the newsletter that it sends to his friends and donors when it is on a mission (now in the Philippines). Here is our email exchange.
Dear Valerio,
I hope you still remember me and our meeting in Rome with Father Titian and Efisio Locci.
Last December, returned again to the missionary in the Philippines after six years of experience in Rome at the headquarters of the Institute. In this first month I relived so many emotions that I felt to communicate with many friends and benefactors, well remembering your wise counsel
of the importance of maintaining good relations with many generous friends.
Even in you're in my thoughts often and I send you a copy of this letter that I sent recently and I'd love to hear your opinion in the future to continue this initiative of found raising.
Honestly I would love to take some initiative along with your oversight seeing as there are many poor people do you need in this country. Dream of Italy organize a small program of fund raising with the help of a good volunteer missionaries and particularly sensitive to the problems that could work as a coordinator. Sure there would be no need of an experienced guide like yours. I'm enclosing a copy of the letter that I wrote. I wish you and your family all the best and happy to remind you in prayer and the protection of St. Camillus.

Dear Father Louis,
I gladly correct the text you sent me trying to "shrink" to two full pages of text with photos. I must say that is very dense in content and ideas and so I tried to break it up into sections distinguished by bold. A suggestion if I may, is perhaps to use other means than email, because such do not open a blog? It 'very useful because you can give information as well as those who will usually also writes to a wider audience by encouraging word of mouth (if you are interested I have a colleague who can give you some tips on how to do) and enter as many photos
or video wills.
See you soon, a warm greeting

Dear Valerio,
me great pleasure to receive your message. I thought you'd almost forgotten about this far ... missionary in the Philippines. Thank you for the wise corrections that you see are experienced by a mind and heart of a friend.
I am glad of suggestions about other means of communication and a blog. I'm not very experienced in this last, but nothing is impossible for those who believe .... I'll try to seek some expert here and I'd get some advice from your friend if possible.
Here I am riambientando well. They are on the island of Samar, where we have a small hospital.
In August, I think to come to Italy to celebrate my 40 years of priesthood. On that occasion, I would like to launch the idea of building a workshop in Indonesia, which I visited recently and where we want to go early. I'll let you know. I salute you with gratitude for your friendship and moral support fratena. I wish all the best to you and family. Hello
P. Luigi Galvani
