The economic crisis is being felt in the United States including in the field of fundraising. The latest survey by Guidestar (ie the optimized version of the Italian Institute for the donation) certifies this thesis.
There are three salient points:

• Decline in donations from 51% to 37% (October 2009-October 2010)
• The percentage of people who said they had increased donations in 2010 increased by 13% in 2010. So 36% of people say it has increased in 2010, donations to nonprofit
• For the eighth consecutive year with 68% of respondents reported increased demand for services to nonprofit organizations
