Speakers Wanted for ... Fundraising Festival 2010

Data: June 13, 2009

It 'just finished the Fundraising Festival 2009 and the Organizing Committee is already working to the edition of 2010.
First we are looking for new speakers, new sessions. There are two simple criteria if you want to be among the speakers at the Festival.

  1. You have a history of successful fundraising to tell and you want to share the results, data, critical without fear that no one "will steal the idea." Festival of the fundraiser is not to steal ideas, but to improve each other, improving the practice of fundraising in Italy
  2. Ami practice, the concreteness and desires, like me, leave the theory books and other courses (and not hate the theory, are a professor, but I think the Festival Fundraising Event for those who already know the theory !)

Want to be among the speakers? Valerio.melandri @ unibo.it to Get an idea of your session that you want already taken or fill the online form by clicking here

Mentre si scrivevano le sfide del fundraising!
He closed with a sea of people (over 400 in attendance) the second edition of the Festival of Fundraising. They talk about blogs fundraiser ( Daniele Fusi , Paul Ferrara , Francesco Quistelli , Ioana Fumagalli , Emma Ciceri , Alberto Ghione , Virginia Tarozzi , Natasha Astolfi , Raffaele Picille , Luciano Zanin that you have added another post with Emma Ciceri and then also Jacopo Gazzola ).

They talk about the dozens of emails (and
press ) that I received at this time thanks to the work we have done in these three days, but mostly talk about the faces and the energy of the faces of this series of photos that Mauro has done here and there. The smiles and the desire to exchange aid.

See the second edition is always the most 'difficult, as a sequel to a movie. many times the number two is worse than the first because everyone has experienced the magic of the first and have high expectations. I have not analyzed the final evaluation questionnaires (nearly 300 collected) and I soffernato just one question for me is important, "recommend the festival to a friend?". three hundred to three hundred questionnaires have the answer YES, I would recommend the Festival to a friend. It 'obvious that not everything is perfect, there are many suggestions (very useful) on how to better organize sessions on how to make the best reception, how to rearrange the days, and I am really grateful to everyone who had the patience to complete the questionnaire. I personally have already 'ready to leave, and I do not' want to do yet passed the festival ... good sign?

The shepherds of Fatima

Data: October 4, 2008

Just tornoto from Lisbon, where he continued my work at Church of the Shepherds of Fatima, the first church in the world dedicated to the Shepherds (who are not saints, they are .... Blessed only). I find it really challenging and interesting to deal with a foreign cause and at the same time, local. The extraordinary power that these shepherds have to Portugal every day convinces me more. There 'organization, person who is not affected by this opportunity to meet and at the same time ... the fundraising has great possibilities.

A couple of photos from the ultra popular souvenirs shop of shepherds ...

... With opportunities for all tastes and all budgets. We are working on, we're working on, soon, certainly before Christmas, we will emerge with the start of the campaign. I will tell you!

Meanwhile, to get some new idea I all'IFRC (International Fundraising Congress) in the Netherlands. It 'a couple of years that I am not, but sometimes a bit' of netowrking International does not hurt. I hope to meet a colleague ... Portuguese. (VM)

An opportunity also economically favorable because of 245 euros if you register by March 1 have never seen a number of benefits (3 days training on various topics, food, lodging, and also acccess to the spa Castrocaro!)

The Festival will be an opportunity for encounter and reciprocal training for those who do fundraising as a professional and as a volunteer:

  • We already have a first list of training sessions to be held which will be followed in the next few weeks the individual speakers at the Festival ( read on the program )
  • We confirm the presence, at the end of daily training sessions that will help Stephen Pidgeon in "pull together" the many days of training that will be.

The Festival is organized in an open dimension, for example, if you think you have skills and subjects as speakers can bring their applications as speaker of the Festival. ( Submit your application here ).
