"The Romagna have three great loves: his mother, his wife and a bicycle, not necessarily in that order ..."

I was born in Forli November 2, 1966 (two days before the great flood in Florence). After studying bass ... (from an accountant) I did Economics in Bologna and I started working for a nonprofit organization at the national office development partners. After two years (very useful) passed to convince people to join (spending most of the time on the road, including an appointment and the other) I decided to begin studying and, after I was fired, I moved for three years in United States at New York University, where I obtained a Master in Nonprofit Management. At the end of the Master I started working with the New York University with the title of Visiting Scholar (Researcher foreign) to the Chair of Management of Nonprofit Organizations of prof. Roy Sparrow, and my first great teacher, also from the human. I was undecided whether to stop for ever in the States, but a call came to me in New York in this phone call I was told that shortly in Forlì, my hometown, would have opened a college course on nonprofit. That's why in 1995 I returned to Italy and started working at birth and assumed the direction of the first Diploma in Economics of Cooperative Businesses and Nonprofit Organizations born in Italy (and the most complete to date), that the reform of university 3 +2 became First Degree, a Bachelor Degree in Specialized Biennial and a Master's Degree in Fundraising for which I was appointed Director. In 1999 I founded and took over the management of The Fund Raising School at the Faculty of Economics of Forlì, the first school of Italian origin university fundraising. Later, in November 2000, along with other Italian fundraiser, I founded (my office) 's Italian Association Fundraiser (ASSIF), whose member it is the purpose of self-regulatory practices of ethical fundraising. In the same year I was a member of the "Commission of Monitoring of the new statutes of the Bank Foundations" set up at the Treasury. In 2001 I designed and built "The days of Bertinoro to the civil economy" and in July of that year I was invited to participate in the exchange program of visiting professors from the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University (the most important center of learning on philanthropy in the world), for a scientific collaboration on the ethics and practice of fundraising in the world, this activity has given rise to the Italian version of the famous book on fundraising in the world, Achieving Excellence in Fund Raising, translated for the types of Etas-Rizzoli Milan with the title The book of fundraising. After leaving the management of The Fund Raising School, I started at the Faculty of Economics of Forlì, and I was the first president, Philanthropy Centro Studi , academic spin-off, which specializes in training, research and consultancy in management of nonprofit organizations (fundraising, cause related marketing, direct mail, social budgets) and profit companies (corporate social responsibility, financial statements of mission, balance social, environmental budgets). Today it is the Scientific Director. In these years I worked as a consultant for small and large nonprofit organizations, public and nonprofit enterprises, I have trained in the issues of management of nonprofit organizations, the people raising and fundraising over 10,000 operators of nonprofit I worked as a university teaching appointments in many Italian universities. If you want to follow in my training courses can be found here date list of training courses that hold throughout Italy. Fundraisers are associated as a consultant to ' AFP (American Professional Fundraisers Association), the largest and most important fundraiser of the world community, and at the Institute of Fundraising ' Assif and I co-founded with Paul Celli, the company Central Ethics for counseling in fundraising. In 2007 I created the Fundraising Festival , the first event on fundraising in Italy, the first edition was held in Castrocaro in May 2008 and has seen over 300 participants, 50 speakers, 40 educational sessions, 70 hours in comparison with some of the greatest experts in fundraising. My strong belief is that research and consulting are fueling each other: you can not do research without translating it into everyday reality in which they operate and nonprofit organizations in the same way you can not advise if it is lowered into a deep study Today the nonprofit and its prospects and future developments. My research, study and teaching, I try to sum it up inside of my many publications that you can refer to the section of books and section articles on my blog.

A brief personal note. I am married to Elisabetta and have three children: Philip, and Anna Maria Vittoria. How many Romagna love cycling, when I decide to get rid of the time, and I agree ....... full with the adage that says: "I have three great loves Romagna: the mother, wife and a bicycle, not necessarily in that order ..."
