And 'with this premise in mind I try to write books. And 'one of my passions, writing what I practice in my daily work as a consultant in the large and small nonprofit organizations Italian. But I try to do it without being complicated, even if I can, even in a fun way. In short, I believe that if you can explain something so simple, there is no reason to make it difficult ... "Materials," as they call my friendly co-workers this book is a book-pantry, I wanted to make not to distribute it in the library, but as an accompaniment to my training on fundraising, which I often do around Italy. "Materials" so it's not a book to read, but a series of fact sheets and lists of things to do (extremely simple and practical) to address the fund-raising ... just outside the course. In practice, I've collected examples, cards, letters, phone calls of my hump decades of advice and I put them together in a single text and graphically bound much more 'readable. I wrote this text, in the summer of 2005 and I put it away in a drawer. Every now and then withdrew it out, it corrects some parts, and put it back on. Man man with pain and regret that it replaced a serene and "happy" memory of the father, the prose is melted and the text became more cheerful (meaning "light"). I had no intention of publishing, but to print a few copies to give to relatives. Then I gave it to my wife Elizabeth, (to which my father was particularly fond of, perhaps gratitude for taking me ...) and my brother Robert (the householder), for a reading. I said "Come on, come .. public ". I sent to Senator Mancino (which was my father's colleague in the Senate, before becoming Vice-President of the Superior Council of Magistrates), which I did a long phone call to tell me that I should publish it at all, and that He would write her a note. What he has done, with great speed and passion. I was terrified, not hide it, to go through what he wants "someone to take over" when the opposite was my goal, "given away" at all.
