To my friends, below is my letter to my work colleagues for my PMC campaign. As you all know this is year 5 for me riding the PMC, the need to raise money has unfortunately not diminished, hence I am once again writing to you for your support in the war on cancer.
Last year the PMC raised a record breaking $26,000,000 representing over 99% of funds raised (another record). This money has been put to great use and the cure is getting closer. This year as a donor of more than $8,500 we were entertained by the PMC and the Dana Farber Institute. They presented to us all the breakthroughs that they have had and are on the verge of having. The science has advanced so much thanks to the funding of organization such as the PMC that their really is a realistic dream of a world that is cancer free and in our life times.
This optimism keeps me riding and keeps me trying to raise as much money as I can. Leaving Saint-Gobain last year I created a new team this year the PMC Monsters, we hope to raise $100,000. Hopefully Norton Wheels will continue to roll and will get a further $100,000. These amounts are very significant and we will make a difference, thanks to the generosity of those who support me in my efforts.
Deanna is back again also this year in her 2nd PMC. We do compete a little for funds but rest assured they all go to the same place so if you donate to her or to me the beneficiary is the fight against cancer.
I have included 2 pictures of Deanna and myself one taken at the finish after 275 miles and 3 hard days of riding and one of us with the big $26,000,000 check.
Once again this year I will be riding the 3 day unofficial version of the Pan Mass or Tour de Mass by adding the 84 mile leg from the NY border to the official start at Sturbridge. I hope you can find it in your hearts to once again sponsor me this year.
To do so either send me a check made payable to the PMC/Jimmy Fund and mail it to 329 Old Lancaster Road, Sudbury, MA 01776, or donate online by following the secure link below

Thanks again for your support, together we will make a difference, together we will help save many lives and we will create a world that is cancer free.
Best wishes to you and your families
Alan
